This weaving was created as an expression of love for the land I now live on, Kaurna Land in South Australia. Country that has vineyards, stunning coastlines, animals roving in all places, sweet colours of a sunrise and blazing sunsets
It holds the songs of the birds and the hum of water. It has country, bush and trees older than your great, great grandmothers
The colours represent the land here and this piece was created with the coastline in mind - pulsing blue ocean, rolling greenery, the red rocks, ochre earth and pale sand
This weaving is a portal to her. A visual love letter, diary entry and snapshot of this landscape at this moment in time. It is a living reminder of our connection to Mother Earth and an invitation to slow down
